You may be knowing that warm air is lighter than dry air as warm air contains water vapour which is a gas and is lighter than air.Cloud contains very tiny water droplets, which were formed by the condensation of the water vapour on very tiny, light dust particles called condensation nuclei. If anything floats in the air, definitely it must be lighter than air.As long as the cloud and the air that it is made of ,are warmer than the outside air around it,the cloud floats.Due to some reason, if the water droplets merge together and become big drops, they fall as precipitation

They do not.
All clouds are in some degree of motion at all times.
Many clouds actualy descend over time.
Some clouds become fog.
Rain is a descending cloud.
No one cloud you see today will still be in the air a week from now.
phjun8383 Water is always heavier than air. Air with moisture is heavyer than dry air. However slowly it may be all clouds are falling through the air all the time.
Quit reading Wikipedia! it is all lies.
If an air mass is rising it can take a cloud up with it but clouds normaly weight more than dry air.
Clouds are water water weighs more than air.
---------------
Clouds are not made up of gas they are made up of water droplets in air

So ... many ... bad ... answers!
Cloud droplets remain airborne because they're too small to precipitate. The acceleration from gravity just isn't strong enough to pull a tiny droplet through a column of air.
I know it counter intuitive, but moist air is less dense than dry air. Evaporating water into a dry parcel of air displaces heavier constituents, like nitrogen or oxygen.

actually clouds are lighter than air so they float up
any thing which is lighter than air goes up ,
there are many gasses also which are gas but as they are heavier than air they do not go up but settle down and disperse slowly.

Because they are lighter the the air beneath them and once they get heavier they fall as rain, or fog.
