okay so im 13 and i really wanna get my bellie button pierced but my mom said it was the law in VA that you cant get it till 16 but i want it now! how old do you really have to be?

I made my daugter wait untill she was 17. (Your belly shouldn't be showing at 13 anyway!!!)
If you do all these things now you will have nothing to look forward to later.
Oh she's 20 now and has a little girl.(Sounds old but it's not lol) The ring came out about the 7th month...Looks kind'a gross now...

If VA Law says 16 then it's 16. There's no getting around it. So I would just take a deep breath because you're not going to get your way this time, and when you're 16 you can ask you parents again. Three years is not that long to wait. It may seem like it now, but the time will pass and soon you'll be 16.
And just because belly rings are the fad now a days, doesn't mean that you have to have one too. You can wait. Be patient.

belly button pierced at 11 or 12 those parents should be SHOT...idk i got mine at 15 and i thought that was a good age i was old enough to take care of it and understand it was something i wanted i didn't have to go show it off and be slutty! i say just respect your mom and wait the 3 years really it doesn't matter if its the law in your state or not cuz she will be the one signin for it so it is her law you lose either way!

Look it up in the state law records. Usually you can if your parent/guardian says you can, but it looks like your mom doesn't want you to. Honor her wishes.
Why don't you get a fake belly button ring? Those are without-a-doubt legal, and have the added bonus of not being permanent. Also they won't anger your mother.

Well, I don't know about the law in VA but my best friends sister got it done at 13 or 14 and i watched it get done and OUCH OMG. They messed up the first time and had to do it twice and then 6 months lated it got ripped out. OUCH

Here's an idea: Take the money you were going to use to have your belly button pierced, and buy a book. You will be infinitely better off.

You can get your belly button pierced with Permission from your mother(But you have to have a ID, Birth Certificate, and your mother has to be in with you), at 16 you can get it done alone, I'm pretty sure.

your mo is right. it is the law, it sounds kinda funny, because it is your body and should be able to do what you want with it, but if your mom signs a form saying you can have it done, i think you are allowed. personally, i hate belly button rings. they are trashy, and i dont say that to be mean, but go with your mom on this one. many people i know that have then always have problems with it. hope you dont make a bad choice. good luck.

a good age to get your belly botton pierced is 17/18. Go do it when you're an adult. You're a slut, if you get one at 11 or even 14.
