Love doesn't stay the same. It grows up as the marriage grows and becomes strong over time. Before marriage it's more lust than love, you can't keep your hands off each other, etc.. After marriage it's still that way until the baby comes, which changes your lives forever, but for the better. You become parents together and the lust changes to love. After raising your children and it's back to just the two of you, the love changes to soul mates, deep respect, intimately knowing and trusting the other, an unbreakable bond.

Hmmm not sure, I've been married for over 25 years, yeah I guess love has changed, if it stayed the same then that would mean we never grew as a couple. the way you are in "LOVE" before marraige and the way you are in "LOVE" while you are married are two completely different things. But I do enjoy the love of being married more then the love I had for my wife before we where married.

Love is an ever evolving process. Initial love is based on little knowledge of the true person. It is based on physical attraction and basic information. The longer you live together and go through the day to day life you really get to know the character of your spouse. The love should grow to a deeper love, that is more than just skin deep. A love that will truly keep you together, through richer and poorer and in sickness and in health.

I think that marriage goes through many ups and downs. You can't be truely in love without the down cycles, and you just have to know that going in. Things will never be perfect no matter how hard you try. You're going to hurt your partner at times and he is going to hurt you. Overall, I think that the love experienced even in all these down times makes for a stronger basis of love. You may not feel it all the time, but it's there!
