if someone is still married to someone and goes to marry another,then that means the later marriage is invalid, right?should i then get an annulment or declaration of nullity to be able prove that our marriage is indeed null and void?how do i get out of this marriage that is really null?

Actually you have already answered your question you're marriage is actually null because in the Philippines if you are married you cannot marry again unless you have your first wedding annulled.

If you live in the US...

The marriage is not legal (and, of course, you can prove he was married to someone else at the time?), but you may actually have to go through the process of obtaining an annulment. Talk to a local attorney about it.

I don't get it because when you go to get your licenses you need to show proof that you are indeed divorced so how did he get a licenses to get married in the first place. When i got married i had to bring my divorce papers to show in order to get my licenses so i could remarry.Your marriage to him is a illegal marriage there for your not married.I'm going by the state i live in.
