Well for starters, Women are selfish too!
And I will be the first to admit it.
People in general are selfish, and most of the time its okay.
We worry about us, and are we gonna have food tomorrow, and do I have enough money to make MY rent.
Self preservation is not being selfish.
Now a real appropriate question should be why are rich people so selfish? They have the money to help the poor and starving people, yet the don't. They stash it away, and save it so that way when their stocks drop and they loose millions of dollars they don't ever have to know what it feels like to be starving or homeless.
On a more personal note, men have a tendancy to think more logically. So what we creative women might think of as being selfish, could simply be a smart plan for the future. For example, my ex-husband refused to spend money on a new matress for us. He thought it was a waste. But alas, he was saving his money so that if we ever ended up unemployed, we would still have food on the table.

Not all men are selfish. It just depends on who you talk to. Women can be just as selfish. I know for a fact im not a selfish person.

That is a sweeping generalization.
people of every sex & walk of life can & will be selfish, not just men.

Instead of saying,'Ladies first for this and that',let's say,Men first, at least in this respect ie selfishness.It's genetic in men to be selfish and old habits don't die, though may get modified .Therefore,being a natural trait,there is nothing seriously wrong with it,extremes excluded.

I am selfish? I didn't know that...... Try not to say such things. I don't see how. If we are so, then maybe its because we are more insensitive.

u can describe men so stereotypically, the truth is there are jerks out there but on the other hand there are alot of nice guys out there for example me (rarericky@hotmail.com hit me up)

That's a pretty sweeping statement. Kind of like if I asked "why are women such gold diggers?". You wouldn't like that, so keep that BS to yourself.

because men think they rule and it makes them feel more superior. makes them feel there in charge who really knows for sure unless you can find an honest man to tell you. lol
