I am looking for a tea cup made by Shelley. The pattern design is Pansy 13823. I have managed to track down a few cups with this pattern, however the shape of the cup is incorrect. The one I am looking for is perfectly rounded with a very slight scallop on the rim on the cup. I believe it is called the New Cambridge shape. The only ones I can find have larger scallops around the edges. I have tried e-bay and have registered at countless china finder websites but to no avail.

Can anyone help me find it, or suggest another place I can look. I am constantly scouting at antique store, and collectables fairs, but still no luck. I would really like to find this cup for my Nana. My Mum broke one the cups in the set when she was a small child and has been looking for 40 years for a new one to replace it for her.

Any suggestions?

Try the "Antiques Roadshow". I'll give you their web address. I've contacted them before with a question about my Roseville Vase and they were very prompt in returning my email and very informative and nice. :-)

Go to the Appraisers link on the left and there you can find an appraiser who specializes in tea cups, or somewhere along those lines and email them you question. I'm sure they'll have an answer for you, or at least direct you where to find one. :-) Good luck and I hope you find what you're looking for. You're so sweet to want to do this for your Nana. :-)
