Why does it have to be one or the other? Perhaps both have some truth in them, and a lot of misunderstanding as well.

Think about it - why would a Divine Creator curse an infant with a hare lip? Why was I nearsighted from age 6? Why is there plaque buildup that has to be scraped off 4x yearly? and, on and on ...

As for evolution ..... after the supposed millions of years of survival of the fittest and natural selection, why have I been nearsighted since age 6? Why do I have to go to the dentist 4x yearly just to keep my natural teeth? Why are children born with congenital deformities? and, on and on .....

The most likely answer is that neither theory is complete and accurate - but just attempts to understand what we don't know.

You are not the only one but the whole world is confused or unsure and some are cocksure [ignorantly arrogants ].The trouble with divine theory is that almost all religions have one or more and often in contradiction to one another. On the other hand,Evolution theory has a universal appeal based verifiable facts or evidence, though there are gaps in it as well.On the whole, the later is more logical, rational and convincing. So,how do you feel, being one like all the others, on this issue?

If creationism is to be believed, then the world is only about 5,700 years old. Have you ever seen the Big Dipper? The light coming from those stars are from stars hundreds of thousands of years away. This means that the light waves that we can see left those stars hundreds of thousands of years ago....so if we can see the Big Dipper, and I saw it this evening, that means the universe must be way more than 5,700 years old. And what about dinosaurs, tens of millions of years old as per carbon dating. Historically speaking, most ancient civilizations had creation stories. In fact, the book of Genesis has two different ones....hmmmm. And since the earth is described as sort of a valley with water flowing from one end and out the other, sort of a curved valley, why wasn't that what the astronauts saw when they took pictures of the earth from the moon> And a globe doesn't look like that either! There is nothing wrong or anti God in what I am saying by the way. In fact, I believe that God created the universe, and if some want to call it intelligent design, well fine. So God guided evolution, makes sense. Oh, and when Columbus came to the New World, he found "Indians" here, didn't he. These were actually Asians who crossed the Ice Bridge from Asia to Alaska and they migrated down to become the various Indian groups. This is backed up by DNA (matching Native Americans and Asians) and artifacts that have been carbon dated to about 25,000 years ago. SO, if the earth was only about 5,700 years old, the Asians couldn't have crossed an ice bridge (was gone by then with the last ice age) and migrated down....no "Indians could have met Columbus....but they did. Yikes, a clue.

Basically, the creation story in the Bible is meant to demonstrate the relationship between God and Humans, not to be taken literally. There is no scientific proof for creationism, and that is a fact. The Bible stories about creation seem top be stories passed down from generation to generation to answer the basic questions humans were asking....but consider this: if Jesus had been born in Sweden, then the Viking tale of creation would be the creation story, and fundamentalist creationists would still insist that the world sits on a turtle's back.

Consider this as well: up until about 500 years ago, people insisted that the earth was the center of the universe and that the earth was stationary and it was flat. People were killed and persecuted for teaching otherwise. That was the world view...until observation backed by scientific fact proved that the earth was not stationary, no where near the center of the universe, and certainly not flat. Did it destroy people's faiths? Nope, and it didn't crush Christianity either. I could go on, but you get the general idea.

I actual have taken dissimilar anthropology training, and understand the thought of evolution completely. regardless of the undeniable fact that, I additionally think of that nature is only too suitable and too captivating that all of it 'only happening' is only too inconceivable. So, i assume i could fall under 'clever layout', yet not interior the way that maximum folk think of of it now (ie, human beings attempting to get creationism taught in faculties) yet interior the literal experience, meaning that we've been by some skill created with the aid of an superior capability, and evolution, if it replaced into the case (it does have its holes, yet so do all theories to describe how we've been given right here) could have been directed with the aid of this greater capability quite than being thoroughly random genetic mutations. so a techniques as Noah's Ark, i don't likely understand - no less than, i don't think a wood boat would desire to've survived 4000 years uncovered on actual of a mountain. enormously much each and every custom in lifestyles has some variety of flood tale (alongside with a advent tale and a narrative of a deity being resurrected), which looks to show that for the time of a few unspecified time interior the destiny in very distant historic previous, there replaced right into a flood that practically thoroughly coated the areas of the earth primary to people on the time.

Theory is contemplation or speculation or guess or conjecture. Something that has not been proved.

In biology, evolution is the change in the inherited traits of a population from generation to generation. Something that has been proved.

I believe in Evolution.

Evolution "theory" is fact. The Bible is not a science book, otherwise the Earth really would be flat.

think outside the box. its the same. one is simplified version one is long story. so lets keep our perspective clear and there shldnt be any clash between science and religion. in fact one complements the other. so tell your priest to stop running down science! it makes him look 'education-less'! so start investigating the truth and do it independently
