I have some really cute short sleeved blouses/dress shirts that I wear with trousers to work. Can I still wear these in the winter? Of course, I'll be wearing a winter coat and will only be in the office without the coat. It's not like it is cold indoors. But I am curious if I may get some strange looks over this! :) They aren't summery and are in year round type of colors - just mostly concerned about the sleeve length. I live in Michigan.

I think you should go for it. You said its not tooo summer looking and i think that it will be cute. The biggest thing in fashion is accessorizing. It could be a plain shirt with a pair of jeans but accessories can make all the difference! Good luck and best wishes!

As long as you're talking about wearing a FULL-LENGTH coat - then it's perfectly fine. Most places tend to over-compensate with the heat once the snow starts falling (offices and malls tend to be the WORST)...
Of course, you still might get a chill on those REALLY cold days - so I would make sure you won't be outside for any extended period of time in an outfit like that. Hopefully, you will only be out for a short time (running to/from the car) - or have indoor/underground parking :):)

I think you'll be fine!
But, if you want to, maybe you should invest in some indoor suit-type jackets to go over the short sleeved shirts -- just two or three in khaki, navy blue, dark brown or black (it depends on what colors you look good in)-- that way you can mix and match shirts and jackets all the time!

Yeah! But I would get some button-up sweaters, blazers, or some jackets in nuetral colors so there's not so much contrast between the shirt and the winter coat (not color-wise, but between the pieces themselves).

Well dont you think it's weird when you come into a building having just been freezing your balls off and you look over and see someone in a t-shirt and shorts. Yea it looks kind of weird.
