I thought this would be a good time of remembrance for people who lost a family member or friend on September 11th. It's weird to think so much time has gone past since it happened. I remember sitting in Socail Studies when I was in 6th grade and heraing the principal come over the intercom and announce the news. Now, I am preparing to start my senior year of high school and I just think back and remember the hurt I saw on people's faces. May the victims of 911 rest peacefully always

My dad used to be a firefighter, and I know it hit him hard because he said firefighters are in a brotherhood. He said it dosen't matter what company you work for or how long you worked, you were all brothers. He lost hundreds of brothers on that day.

I didn't lose anyone on 9/11, but I have lost a lot of buddies fighting the "war on terror". May God Bless all of the people who lost their lives on 9/11 and the families who have lost loved ones. God Bless you for your remembrance.

While I never lost a personal friend or family member after the tragedies of 9/11, I think we all lost someone during these atrocities. We lost all of those NYPD and NY Firefighters that take a big role in the safety and well being of NYC. Many of the people we lost were geniuses I'm sure. All the people lost in 9/11 were a great loss and they will never be forgotten. God bless their friends, families, and may they rest in heaven in eternal happiness.

I did not lose anybody I personally know, but I, as an American lost 3000 fellow countrymen and some that are not US citizens. That was a horrific day in our history and we should NEVER forget I am glad you are remembering.

my family's friend's daughter did lose her life that day. my mom told me that that girl, my sis, me and other kids used to play (i can't remember, as my sis and i were the youngest amongst the kids). i didn't know her very well b/c that family lived in another country and my family used to visit when i was younger. that girl went to school in the states, got a job at one of the towers and unfortunately lost her life there.

I did not lose anyone personally, but I feel like I lost a part of myself that day that I will never get back.

No, thankfully. I agree completely with you, though. I was in my 4th grade math class, and at the time i really didn't understand what happened till my mom picked me up.

May all of them rest in peace, always.

We all did. We may have never met them, but we all knew them. They were our neighbors, friends, lovers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, mothers, and fathers. They were all of us, and each one will be missed, just as the people who were murdered in the Oklahoma City bombing are as well. May God bless them and all who knew them.
