I am going to knotts berry farm halloween haunt, and I am 17 years old. Do you think that when they check my bag, they will let me go in with my cigarettes? Or do you think they will take them away because I'm 17?

For the halloween haunt, they have sort of strict security, they metal detect you, and check your things.

you only have to be 18 to buy cigs...not to smoke them... so there should be no reason for them to confiscate them...

Bad habit! (I know, I'm trying to stop it too!)
They don't ID you so they shouldn't look twice unless you look real young (it is sherrif's doing it on the special nights, rather than just employees).
Best bet, carry a new, unopened, still in plastic, box in your pocket and you will never have to take them out nor will they set off the metal detector. Place a lighter in your bag and they will probably never notice it. I say this because if you have an open pack, you are required to open it and show that you do not have anything illegal in it if they do see you have a pack on you. So if it's in your pocket and its not setting off the alarms, they probably aren't even going to know you have it.
Note: Smoking is now restricted to certian areas so stick to those areas to do it cuz cops are patrolling everywhere and you don't need to be singled out smoking in the wrong area when you are underage.

Have fun! The haunt is a blast!

When they are searching your bags, they are only looking for weapons, not drugs or cigarettes. They have no legalities to searching except for weapons. Now, if it is local law enforcement agencies searching your bags, I'd be a little worried, but most parks don't employ actual law enforcement trained security folks. They don't have arresting rights. Even if something were to happen at the park, they can only detain you until local law enforcement agents came out. So, I wouldn't even worry about it. If you are that worried, just leave them in your car, or carry them in your pocket.

Because they are not real law enforcement, and they cannot ask for an i.d unless you are buying achohol, which you aren't. Mainly, thay are looking for drugs and weapons. Just In case, you may just want to keep them in a pocket. OR just not bring them at all, go cold turkey for a few hours it would be good for you, others at knotts berrry farm, and the enivrement if you did.

They will not know your age, so I think they will just look past the cigarettes. If you are so worried, put them in your pocket (if you have one) and not your bag. It is not so much cigarettes they are looking for, it's weapons. You should be fine. Have fun!

I would leave them in the car. Certain parks now have "clean air" rules where you can't smoke in the park at all. Then if you need a puff, just go back to the car for a break.

If they don't know you are 17 then it won't be a problem, otherwise, I think it would depend on who you got to check your bag. When I went to Kings Dominion, no one even searched my bag. If I were you I wouldn't take them unless you absolutely have to.

Then if you are worried I wouldn't take them or if you have to you could put them in part of a costume or jacket or something instead of a bag.

Why would you give them your ID or let them know you are 17? They have no business looking at that. They are not law enforcement.

No, I don't think that they're looking at AGE or CIGARETTES. They're looking for more sinister things like weapons or drugs.
