I am about to start my second(and final) year of community college. I have a GPA of 3.8. I am searching for a good four year college. What are the chances of the four year school wanting SAT/ACT scores from me?

It depends on the four year school. I'd start compiling a list of schools that interest you and find out from their websites. Click on "Prospective Students" and then FAQs and you'll find your answers. From what I've seen, most 4 year schools will look at either/or.

Take the SAT. It is more widely accepted at colleges and universities. The ACT is ok, but mainly for more science based programs. You will have more access to applying to the schools of your choice with an SAT score. Hope this helps!

I general rule I always heard was that if you were going in state that the ACT would be fine. If the college was out of state, than an SAT would need to be taken.

Most colleges accept both. Best thing to do is to look on their websites to see what they prefer. I'm pretty sure they'll want to see your sores, especially if you're an older student returning to school.

Good luck!
