My sinks were backing up and the last time this happened I was able to snake out the clog in the basement... Hiowever, this time the snake has become completely stuck. How can I get it out. It is a non-motorized auger snake.

It is probably 15-20 feet in the drain.

hot water . then cold, swist the snake ,side to side

try rotating it in the Opposite direction you were turning it when going in, if it's a cable type this should unstick it,
normaly there is a corkscrew fitting on the end this can get snaged , or its went thru the pipe, side,
