Not that I know of, if it goes into foreclouser the bank will request a "receiver of rents" the court will appoint where you pay the Rent to.

If you stop paying Rent you can be evicted even though the property is in foreclouser. You might be able to sue them for having to move, but I dont think its illegal. Thats between the bank and the landlord.

If it goes into foreclouser they will name you as a defendant, make sure you answer. If they havent named you dont draw attention to it. They only name you so they can evict you. If the bank takes over the house they have to go through normal eviction procedures if you are not named. They might not even know its being rented.

Whatever you do keep paying rent.

Good Luck

Seems to me that if you had the good sense to ask the question you should know in your heart the answer! It is fraud. That word should just be the same thing as telling a lie becasue that seems to be what happens from it everytime. The only people who will be chasing for it are those poor people who signed up in good faith to get a roof over their families head and then find out that they are the ones who will be evicted probably by the sheriff. If you are the tenant I'd be speaking with the lender and making arrangement to pay them directly so that you can continue to stay in the house for a bit. I am soooo sorry for the trouble. Good Luck from now on you deserve it.

Nope.

But the owner will lose the house.

And then you can sue him for breach of contract.
