I too have anxiety disorder, and I certainly share your fears. First: in response to your question "are there any good jobs ... " I suggest that all jobs are good; it's what you make of them that is important. Walt Disney began as a paper boy, according to what I have read. It is allowing our anxiety to rule our lives that will defeat us, and it is over-ruling our anxieties that will give us success. We all have imperfections, although some are categorized and stigmatized, while others are not.

Henry Ford has been quoted as saying: "If you think you can, or if you think you can't, you are right." I may not have cited this perfectly, but it is the thought that counts.

You think about dropping out: I too considered this option, and I am thankful that for whatever reason, I did not. I do not consider myself a great success, but I have been employed full-time since 1956. My wife and I have been married for 48 years, and our two children have given us 10 delightful grandchildren, and 8 equally delightful great-grandchildren. We are not wealthy, but were recently able to give the first of our grandchildren to graduate from college a significant check as a gift.

My wife and I have travelled extensively over the North American continent by motorcycle, and I have recently enjoyed the opportunity of visiting Europe. I am currently engaged in a post-graduate study program, focused on a Masters Degree.

All of this is exhausting. I am often discouraged. My anxieties have sent me to various hospital emergency rooms and cardiac units. I have been advised to slow down. I will not slow down, but will continue to live life to its fullest, and while I confess that I have some regrets, non of them involve any regret that I have continued my education.

As long as I live, I will give living my best efforts, and when I come to the end, as all of us will, I can say "I have done all all that I can, and loved every minute of it--including the dark moments."

Hang in there, and I'm sure you can find me if you want to, and try hard enough, and I promise to answer.

The answer is no.

There are no good jobs for drop outs.

There are barely any good jobs for old guys like me with college degrees.

This is Goerge Bush's America, not our daddy's America where you could work 25 years and retire on a workman's pension with dignity and enough money.

Those days are gone. If you don't have high school diploma you'd better be resigned to a life of poverty and hardship.

Stay in school. The heck with your anxiety disorder, buck up, be tough and think about your future.

IF YOU DROP OUT YOU ARE AN IDIOT

Just transfer or home school, do not use anxiety as an excuse.

If you think it' bad now you should see how much anxiety you're going to face in the future without a college education.

DON'T BE A FOOL STAY IN SCHOOL
