That is not true. They love social programs as long as it goes towards proping up huge corporations that they own stock in. This is called corporate welfare.

I would gladly agree to not collect social security if the government would stop making me pay social security taxes. And I'd gladly put my kids in private schools if the government gave me a voucher to refund the amount of money I paid in taxes that go towards public schools. etc.

I don't think conservatives generally object to the government providing law enforcement or a fire department.

So you want "cons" to pay for Social Security, then not use it? Does that make sense - even to you? If I could opt out and not put in 15% of my salary into Social Security that goes in now, I certainly would do that. I could pick stocks by having a monkey throw darts at the stock pages, put in only 5% of my salary and get a much better rate of return that Social Security provides. And all that money spent on welfare for decades that just about destroyed many black and white families - yeah that worked out real well.

law enforcement, fire, and public sewage are local issues. If I don't like the service, I can vote with my feet and move.
Public schools I'm forced to pay for whether I use them or not.

Social Security is nothing but a rip off, and I'm forced to pay into it as well. I'd much rather put that money into my 401k. I'd be a hell of a lot better off.

You really need to take a break from YA. Your statement/questions are getting dumber. In answer to your question why don't you learn what a social program is. I guess you'd hope for anarchy instead of order huh?

As for Social Security, I'd sign a letter bowing out of the program today if it meant never sinking another penny into that cesspool.

Social programs, such as welfare, foodstamps..etc etc.

Not public services, which the lion share of that comes from you local property tax, however you most likely live in a trailer with a bunch of barefoot kids running around in diapers drinking grape kool aid out of a baby bottle... so you don't pay property taxes anyhow... therefore should the police come to your "mobile home community"?

Actually, the point is valid as the Red states have the largest percentage of people on social programs in the nation.

Neo-cons label these individuals as lazy, addicts, and such. Yet they say these things as though Blue State residents were the majority users of these programs.

IDK, but apparently UHC will be the end of us all lol, not all of those other social programs, and yes they are such. We pay taxes to the government which in turn provides us with these services, whether it be at the local, state, or national level.

Can you give us some specifics? Which cons? Convicts or conservatives. All of them or part? Or just the ones you know? Where specifically? On here? Where you live? Without these vital points to consider it becomes impossible to answer your question with anything besides:
"Polly want a cracker?"

These are not free programs. We pay for all of these out of our pockets in state and local taxes supplemented by the federal taxes we also pay. Social Security is not free.we pay all out lives out of our own paychecks, not yours.
You are comparing apples and oranges.
