You can technically, but unless the transmission is beefed up for the extra power, your gonna be lucky to have it last 1000 miles before it blows. Don't do it.

Yes you can. But turbo an automatic will cause your transmission into early retirement.

If you really want to turbo with automatic transmission, you can run low boost, about 6-10 psi, and swap a manual transmission with strong clutch and flywheel in the future.

Usually people looking for performance, they switch to manual first and have fun with it for a while, then turbo if needed.

Good Luck.

There are some seriously wrong people in this thread.

Yes you can turbo a car with an auto tranny. A turbo has nothing to do with the transmission. Yes it will be hard on your tranny, but NO autos arent "worse" for turbocharged cars. Pretty much all turbo-running drag cars are automatics, so they can set the stall to a point where they launch with close to full boost. They also shift faster.

Yes you can. If you do not tune ur car properly then you will have many problems.

If you want to, you would have to replace your transmission 4 speed auto will not hold power very well.

your fule system will need to be redone, along with spark plugs, headers, cams, and many other things.

It would cost you without a new transmission about $4000 to turbo your car.

$2000 for the kit
$2000 for the new parts to make it compatable

with a new tranny your talking about $6-8000

yes, turbo's have nothing to do with the transmission. Turbochargers are more efficient when used with manual cars.

definite. in reality, I particularly have a rapid diesel Mercedes with computerized transmission. notice that a rapid will regulate the gas mixture demands of your engine ... no biggie, in spite of the shown fact that it incredibly is going to wish interest once you place interior the turbocharger.
