Hi, I just ripped out the carpet in my bedroom, as I am going to replace it with hardwood floors, and I noticed a strong cat urine smell on the floor. How can I remove this smell permanently?

Don't bother with any home-made remedies...use KILLZ.

It works perfectly for these situations.

Apply two coats of KILLZ oil-based primer to the entire subfloor... The urine smell will never come through again.

Try vinegar. And if that doesn't work, go to urine-off.com! But vinegar seems to work really well. Hope this helps!

see if you can get a ammonia neutralizer, that's what it is,
or use a strong soap solution and put a fan blowing on it after you rinse it,
