I think that is Kudzu

kudzu. Imported from South America for some reason. Sort of like Africanized bees. And water litlies. Bad stuff.

Can you be a bit more descriptive. Most vines are invasive so it's really hard to tell from that fact alone. According to this article "A survey of two forests in South Carolina over the past two decades has revealed that vines such as grapevines, trumpet vine, poison ivy and Virginia creeper have been infiltrating the areas at increasingly higher rates, especially in newer woodlands." So, as you can see there are many vines considered invasive. Therefore, if you could describe the vine in question then we may be able to help.
