i think the lions are better because they now have calvin johnson
and tatum bell will help too
the raiders have been going downhill for a while now and i dont think jamarcus russell will ever reach a deal with them now that they have daunte culpepper who i dont think is going to get much better than he did last year
they should be going through quarterback problems at last half way through the season
although i will give it to them that they got rid of randy moss
hes useless now

Lions are a lot better than Oakland. Raiders have no running game, no offensive line, a very shaky QB situation, won't sign their draft pick and play in the loaded AFC West. Their defense isn't horrible but is about middle of the pack.
Lions have a good QB, a good RB, great WR's, a solid TE, a decent offensiveline, and the defense is young and talented...they just need to come together as a unit. The Lions, talent-wise, should be a NFC North contender...but every year they shoot themselves in the foot.
The Raiders......jeez....they just seem commited to losing. No offense, a okay defense, and a rookie head coach. Sorry. Raiders are worst team in the NFL.

That's like asking which is better, a train wreck or a plane crash. Neither team is managed well. How Matt Millen has kept his job is a mystifying as how George W. got re-elected. The Raiders had a pretty good defense last year. If Culpepper can stay healthy, which is doubtful with the pitiful pass protection he'll be getting, they might be slightly better. I love the Detroit receiving corps. I just can't choose a team with Kitna as the Quarterback. And, I'm not convinced that Detroit's defense can stop anyone. Raiders get my vote, but just barely.

Lions are the better team this year. Raiders only won 2 games last year and i dont think they will do much better than that this season. Lions COULD be a .500 team this year if they actually play up to the talent level they have.

Lions have a decent offense just no QB but the Raiders have a good Defense but no offense. I'll still say Lions are better.

Hello?! The Lions are a Great Team. No one should say anything bad about them because there going to win the Superbowl this year!!!!! Anyone who disagree's with me you'll see. The Lions are better and they'll at least have 10 or 11 wins this year.

raiders are a better team and it will show week one when they play detroit, dont get caught up in the emotion of the raider haters they are bitter because the raiders have been whippin their asses for years, yep ill be the first one to admit since the sb we havent done anything good but every season is a new oppertunity to shine.....LOVE THE RAIDERS GO OAKLAND.....like us hate us but you cant ignor us, RAIDER NATION
