... but it is Microsoft word. I think the problem might be that the microsoft word on my computer says non-commerical use. Is that the problem or is it something else? and how do I fix my resume so that the website will take it?

Which version of Word are you using? Versions up through Word 2003 used a .doc file type; Word 2007 uses a .docx file time that's completely different.

If you're using Word 2007, do a Save As to an older Word version's type and I think you'll be OK.

Good luck.

When you saved the file, in the "Save as" dialog box, bottom left, filetype, were you careful to click the down arrow to select Microsoft Word?

download OpenOffice and then in OpenOffice Writer, open your file and do save as...and you can save it as a Microsoft Office file! Trust me lol, have done it a million times
