Anyway sometimes my boyfriend reminds them that he wants dessert, it just really annoys me that the don't ask. Then they don't ask me. The just assume just he wanted a dessert. I don't get it. Also, why do they bother with a dessert display and all this good stuff, and then not ask you? LOL!

I get asked almost every time I go out - - ironically, I am not a 'dessert' person and rarely take them up on the offer.

They're lousy servers, plain and simple. Any server should be taught to up-sell. It's part of their job. They're probably thinking "I can get this table out of here faster and get another one if they don't have dessert."
Anyway, unprofessional.
