This is how I did it. I wrote a mini play on how we met, how it changed our lives, and of important moments in our life. At the end I professed my love and proposed in the play. I included a photo of us also in the play. I lamanated it. I purchased tickets to the Lyric Opera of Chicago and made arrangements to pick up my tickets along with a program (containing my poem in it), at will call. I gave her the program as we approached the main stairwell. As we reached the main stair well my wife was reading the poem I wrote. I began to get to my knees with the ring in hand. As she looked at me I was already in position and proposed verbally.

Because my wife's work has casual Friday dress code, I had her boss make up a fake meeting with out of town clients. She had to wear something nice to work. I arrived at 4: 30 in a limo filled with rose petals, chanpagne all the works and proposed on the way to a fancy restaurant. It worked!

She lived 2 hrs away from me, so the week b4 I asked her mom to pack a suitcase for my wife. I wrote her a sweet letter and left directions from mapquest in the letter to a fancy bed and breakfast. I only had the directions, so she had no idea where she was going or how the letter got on the truck since I was 2 hrs away. When she got there I got down on one knee. She was surprised

My husband did it one night spontaneously. He was laying on the bed watching me while I studied and said"I want to marry you" and I said "Ok, but let me finish studying for my test first."
We laughed and started planning the wedding after I finished studying. We went to look for rings the next day together, found the perfect ones and then went out to celebrate!

We just had a regular evening together and I waited til it was a night with a full moon out and I got on one knee and she started turning red and saying OMG OMG OMG OVER AND OVER And as soon as I pulled the ring out she was screaming yes yes yes........
Did not have to say a thing......

My husband did the one knee...I turned him down...he took me out to eat and asked me in public...so I said yes...he says its because I couldn't say no.
