The most important question is - HOW are you going to pay your own phone bill? If you have the money for this, then you DEFINITELY should get your own phone!

Or if this is a problem - you could always get a "pay-as-you-go" phone, and put money on it whenever you can...

Pass both these ideas by your mom, and see if she goes for one of them ;););)

I got my cellphone at age 12 for Christmas. Maybe you could ask for a phone for your birthday. Remember, a cellphone is a very useful thing to have with you, especially if you like to talk a lot. It can be very expensive though if you go over the number of minutes that you have in your plan. Try to persuade your parents into letting you get one. Try giving them examples of why you need it. Try telling them that:
-It gives you a way to communicate when you are lost
-You need to be able to tell your parents if you are going somewhere with friends
-You will be responsible with the phone; it won't get lost or used way too much
-You will help around the house to show you are mature enough to have a phone
Saying that all your friends have one doesn't normally work. If you feel you are ready to have one, then you really should try to get one for your birthday. Good luck in getting one.

I think that you should get a pay as you go phone not one with a plan that way what you are gonna use is already paid for until you get old enought to get a job and understand more about money and bills that way you dont mess up you credit. Not to say you not responsible but you are only 13. I hope this helps you out.

I think it is up to the parent when they think you are able to control your calls and text message than you should have one . but if you really want one you should ask your parents for a pre paid cell . that is what i started my two oldest one 's out
with first. but when your minutes is up then you should be able to afford to buy more minutes it is called responbility.
good luck.

Ask cute boys to use their phones, then when your done, leave your phone number in it and say, "theres an extra number in there." and wink.

This one girl did that to me and it was very sexy. ;)
