I was 12 and at the store with my dad.
I see this semi pricey plastic camera that had fake, plastic pre taken photos, all so you could SIMULATE taking pictures.
I usually didn't go on about things and he saw I was serious.
So.. he bought it and put it away till I dime and quartered the total cost of $5.00 in extra chores. He didn't tell my mom. It was a gentlemen deal between only us! To this day, cars, property, gadgets, nothing sticks in my mind higher in my own imagination's expectations of how wonderful that wacky little toy was gona be once it was ALL MINE!
