I try not to stay subconscious, but i'll say conscious.

I'm not certain what you mean by pursue. I do know that I have learned to utilize my subconscious to help me with a lot of things. While your active mind may rest during sleep, your subconscious is always busy 24/7. It takes what you have experienced, seen, heard, etc. and screens it for clues you may need another time. You dream because of your subconscious and it is often sending messages in those dreams. I have found that I can tell or ask my subconscious something just before going to sleep and it is taken care of by morning: whether it's a phone number I can't remember, where my missing keys are, who was that speaker two months ago that said something I remembered, or to remind me in the morning to make a phone call or pick up the dry cleaning or some other thing I might ordinarily forget. As a writer, I utilize my subconscious when I have writer's block - asking it for help with a problem I'm facing in a story. I've done this even awake, by literally addressing my subconscious, posing my problem and asking for its help. I often go on to another task, and suddenly the answer is there and I can return to writing. I learned this technique at a motivational seminar and the speaker said that it is a technique that promotes success. It does. I believe I can use both parts of my mind, and I have, achieving many things I've wanted in my lifetime.
