That is a complete myth, just like about half the other things you see in TV shows (like Family Guy) about vasectomies. You probably also heard that you have to be over 30, or have two kids, or that your wife has to sign some kind paper. All of these are false.
Nothing changes after you get a vasectomy. Honestly, there was a risk of any change, do you really think every year, ½ million men, in the USA, alone would get them?
I had mine when I was 21. I am now 41, and probably have the libido of a 25 year old. The only thing that ever slows me down is dealing with hot tempered women, and that has nothing to do with a vasectomy.
BTW: I got mine on a Friday, and was back to work on Monday.

Up until today I thought I read or heard every urban legend about vasectomy known. I guess people think up new ones every day. I had a vasectomy at the ripe old age of 21. That was over 20 years ago. I am now 43 (no children by plan). I can tell you without a doubt that I still ejaculate the same as before except there are no sperm in my semen. I bet you did not know that sperm and semen are not the same thing. Another urban legend states that sperm are white. Wrong. They have no color. Semen is milky white but sperm are too small to contribute any color. They are likely the smallest human cell. The dumbest urban legend of all states that they cut things off of the mans body. Again that is false. Once I had my vasectomy nothing detectable changed. I do not even have a scar. Nothing looks different. Hypothetically, if the surgery could have been performed without my knowledge, I could never know, and neither could my girlfriend. Honestly if a vasectomy included all the crap that urban legend suggests, would one half million men get one every year? No they would not.

no, there is no reason there would be a decrease because of a vasectomy, there could actually be an increase because the man will not have to worry about getting someone pregnant.

Old wives' tale. You can still shoot, but the little swimmers are missing and that doesn't affect anything at all, except your wife's attitude toward not repopulating the world.

I had it done about 8 years ago and it hasn't slowed me down at all. If anything it makes me want it more because I know that I can't get my wife pregnant.

MYTH.
Vasectomy merely eliminates the chance of impregnation.
Libido is your sexual drive.
One is biological and the other is mental.
Two completely different things.
