King of the Mountain and Tag were some.
But
We made up a War game at school but the principle made us stop.
Everyone got to play all ages that wanted to.
The Oldest voted a leader for each side. The leader s took turns choosing others until everyone was picked. Then we pretended to have knives, if a death blow was struck the " victim had to lay down and count out load to 50 then he or she could get up and fight again. The point was to have all your opponents down for the count, really was fun then. Even the littlest could have the big kid down counting ,there was no cheating,no real fighting.
