A very interesting topic to debate. Some say it's nature, some say it's nurture...I think it falls somewhere in between.

Partially. Both genetics as well as culture and experience play a role in ones personality. It is highly unlikely that you are 100 times worse than your mom, but you are probably quite similar, and that may be a source of frustration for her.

I think a percentage is genetic and the other is learned behavior!! My take is that you adapt the characteristics of your parents from childhood. But from experience, my sister acts just like our father. The parent who was not in her life at all.

Your mom is mad and just reacting. There may be some parts that are genetic and there may be some parts that have to do with how we are raised. We don't know all of it, but realize there are many influences that occur early in our lives.

I think so. Just look at it in terms of your physical features and how they resemble your parents, so why wouldnt other aspects be traits of your parents as well.

I am sure that some of your traits are developed as a products of your environment but some come from your mom and dad too.
