Thanks for the sweet memories you shared. I rember when he died my mom cried. So did I ,even though I was only 7.
I never seen him in concert but I loved watching his movies and playing his records. I loved when ABC played the millon dollar movie every afternoon,my favorite was watching Elvis week with mom we would pop corn the old fashioned way in a skillet on the stove. I miss those days. Thanks for answering.

When he first appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. My mother went upstairs, she could not watch him. That still makes me laugh. He sang, ain't nothing but a hounddog, and love me tender, that was a great memory.

I grew up during his heydays and I have pictures of my sister at her birthday getting Elvis records as presents. I never cared much for his singing but I do remember going to his movies (I was bored).

I'm old enough to rememebr when he was taken into the army, being drafted.
I wondered if an artist could survive that sort of thing.

I remember being very proud of him making it through
that ordeal, and getting to make GI Blues as a result.

certainly! I remember as a youngster I went with my female pal to verify Elvis on the previous Olympia in Detroit. It grow to be stifling warm, ear splitting screaming going on, ladies fainting in each and every single place and that i enjoyed each and every minute of it!!!
