Being a hard working lady I don't need my man's permission for anything.......

Ah boy. I remember the Thanksgiving that we went up to my dad's house, and my wife was acting way strange. About two days into our visit I insisted she tell me what was going on (I thought she had some problem with a family member). She let on that she had bought a fancy couch, and that it was being delivered the day after we were to return, and she thought I'd be mad cause it was way foo foo, and expensive. She was right - I hate the couch, and she has this messed up idea that you don't eat on couches. Ultimately however stuff is just stuff.

I always let him know when I'm travelling...either to PA or Fla...usually I take one of his kids with me.
I don't ask...I tell him..."We're going to the Novena in Scranton...." or "Jen is getting married in GA in November." Then we figure out which of kids gets the seat in the car....(they come on a rotating basis as I usually don't have more than one spot)....he makes sure the car is good to go and that his kid has adequate cash...and I go....
It's just not that big a deal.
Quit making things so hard.

Everything I buy is without permission from anyone. The only time I get any sort of reaction from the men in my life is if it happens to be something they're interested in themselves, in one way or another. ; )

i bought an area rug for our living room, and lets just say that it cost about what we make in a month, and he was pretty fumed. he told me that it was my early birthday present and thats all i was getting. :-P
