People don't care about "real" news. Besides, they can't relate to it anyway.

Does anybody REALLY care about this war on terror? Late at night with nobody around, the answer is no. Unless you're "over there" or have family who is, people are just going on with their own lives. Few are making any changes because of a war going on.

The president is a lying dog and the rats are jumping ship, but what can regular people do? Nothing. The wheelings and dealings of a bunch of filthy rich crooks are beyond the reach of everyday working people. Brittney Spears' latest hairdo or how drunk Lindsey Lohan got last night is something average people can relate to. People can wrap their heads around things like that.

People CAN wrap their their heads around stuff like that that. That's the tragedy. The media may treat the public like fools; but they themselves are not fools. They watch what society (education-provision) is doing to itself, and they take full advantage of it. Slam dunk! Better than working for a living.

It's called sensationalism. Anything to sell more papers or increase their ratings.
