Most definitely wear protection, it will save embarrassment for you. Carry extra pads in your purse to change during the day (flush the commode to cover the sound of wrapper).

Hello. Congradulations!

I don't think you will bleed heavily enough to have it seep through your pants. If you are in class and you feel a little wet down there, then you have probably started. Go to the restroom as soon as you feel wetness down there and get it taken care of. If you carry a purse, include a pad in it just in case. If you don't, then keep one in your binder or backpack. Don't be shy to go to the nurse's office to get your sanitary needs. I did it atleast 4 times when I was in middle school. It's no big thing. It's not like she is going to call your mom and say HEY GUESS WHAT or tell the whole school on the P.A system. Just ask her if she has any sanitary napkins and she will gladly hand you some and you can be on your way!

Oh and some schools charge for sanitary needs so she might charge you a quarter or so for a pad :/ Good luck! Don't be scared! Every woman on this earth has gone through this big change.

You can always wear a panty liner to school if you do start you have some protection, I would then suggest you put at least 2 regular pads in your backpack or purse to carry with you. It is better to be prepared than to have to ask people for them.

Yes, you might at least consider wearing a mini-pad just in case, and carry a back-up.

The cramps are caused by lack of calcium. You need to take a supplement plus some of the fat-soluble vitamins like A, D & E to help it absorb.
If you are really PMSing (swelling, cravings, and all that), get a supplement called evening primrose oil... comes in gelcaps.

Don't stress too much!
Deffinately keep a pad or two in your bag, but don't worry.. It's not like it will come 'gushing out' or anything. You probably wont even notice until you go to the bathroom.
In the meantime, it's cliched but I think a hot water bottle really helps with the cramps. And Ibuprofen tablets. And chocolate..!

Wouldn't dare make fun ... we've all been there. I agree with Hayl; try a panty-liner. Pads are just so big & bulky! Keep a few extra panty-liners in your locker & in your backpack/ purse so you have them when the day comes that you need them.

wear a pantie liner every day and carry pads with you. pantie linners are good for when you know your going to start soon but dont know when. then go to the bathroom every one in a while so you can check if you sterted and once you have change to a pad and yu should be good. but chane your pad every 2 hours to reduce infection and smell!

I think just a panty liner would be enough. I would keep some pads in your locker so when it does happen, you are prepared. If you have room in your locker, you may want to keep a small zip lock bag hidden with a spare pair of panties, too- just in case.

Have you started your period ever? Or are you saying you haven't had your period YET this month?
If you have had your period before, then this may be premenstrual cramps and I would suggest to wear a pad or at least a pantyliner. Better safe than sorry!

I would wear the pad and check between classes in the bathroom. Even if you do not see anything, I would still carry a clean pad and change it periodically to stay clean.
