and to add. the bumper pads will not be used until my babies are older. therfore the only bedding used will be the skirt fitted sheet and a snuggly. my older girls crib sets are now being used on their toddler beds. even the head and foot bumper. Cassidy and Cheleas will not be put into the brib for bit anyways. at this point i would rather keep them in the bassinet beside my bed. i still have to wait for the bedding to come anyways. it is available only only. therfore will be arriving within the next couple weeks. the girls will be a little bigger . right now they are just 4 5. i feel a lot less worried about them in a snuggly.

regardless of how young you are it is none of anyones business...people should keep their mouths shut or just keep their opinions to themself. anyways, the bedding is cute!

People will always have opinions on young mothers. But, they need to learn to keep their opinion to themselves, I'm sure you probably heard it all from your family, and don't want any stranger coming up to you telling you things that they are most certainly not entitled to tell you.
You also didn't mention how old you are, so I'm not sure why she said it, but that's besides the point, no one has a right to tell you anything if they don't know you. My sister got pregnant at 14 and a little after she turned 15 she had her baby. Some people where nice about it, a couple of ladies once prayed for her belly, which I thought was very sweet. Some other people would have things to say or stare. Those I didn't appreciate, they had no right, they needed to keep their opinions to themselves, we weren't asking them what they thought, we could care less.
Sometimes people comment on me being too young to have two children, but I'm 25, people think that I look younger than what I really am, some have even asked me if I'm 18. Maybe that's what happened in this situation.
Anyway, congratulations on your baby, enjoy her as much as you can, they grow super fast.

Well, I don't think people were giving you dirty looks in regards to the bedding. (But I do have to say, it is VERY cute)
They might have been thinking that you should not have baby bedding at all. it is recommended that an infant sleep in a crib with nothing in it at all. Not even a blanket. Or bumpers. But, I don't see why you can't dress up the crib when the baby isn't in it.
Also, when your daughter gets older, you can use it for her toddler bed. You won't have to worry about getting it then.
People are very rude. They should just have not said anything at all. The one who went up to you was the most rude one of all. It must have taken some guts.
Don't worry about what other people say. It is up to you!

I take it she confronted you cuz you are young and have 4 kids (2 sets of twins?!?!). I'm not sure why people feel the need to do those kinds of things. Like you are gonna say oh I never thought about it that way nice lady, I'll go right to childrens services and give them away. I understand your anger but you gotta show your kids who the better person is, all you did by yelling back was to prove to her that her beliefs were right. She thought you were whitetrash and you proved it by getting into it with some random lady at the Toys R Us. I would have just gave her a nasty look and told my kids not to mind the crazy lady and walked away.

I was a young mother as well, but no one was ever particularly rude, except sorta for the nurse at my first OBGYN. I was a little nervous going in (who ISN'T). She told me "It's ok, you don't have to be ashamed, besides there are options." Needless to say, I switched doctors. My son was a PLANNED pregnancy.
On the other hand, if you talk in real life the way you talked in this post, I'm thinking that the "shame on you" is probably not about the fact your pregnant. It really is rude to use such language, and you really should work on cleaning up your language before your child comes. I'm not perfect, (my son still learned the word "****" WAY too young) but it's really not good to teach young children that type of anger filled language.

people are going to give you nasty looks and many people are old fashioned and dont know any better and thats not to say its right. who are they to judge you anyway. you have to be the better person because they dont know how much you love your baby or how good of a mom you are, or are going to be. the funny thing is that half the people who give you those looks or say those mean things probably never even had kids themselves. my boyfriend has a 4 year old daughter with someone else, and everytime we go to visit his aunt (she is like 60) she complains about all these people who are young and not married having kids but doesnt seem to think that the neice she loves so much is a product of that. and when i take her somewhere and someone calls me her mom i have to be quick to say no im sheashea ( i dont want her to be confused who mom and dad are), and they give me funny looks sometimes (not because of my age but they think im a homewrecker which i am not, they werent together when i met him) also you need to be carefull with all that bedding, you may already know this but your not suppose to use blankets and i think your not suppose to use the padded side rails when baby is sleeping because it increases the risk for SIDS. make sure you dress baby in warm enough clothes at night so a blanket is not needed. but other than that the crib stuff is adorable, and what does your fiancee know about picking out stuff for girls anyway :). good luck and just blow off those snobby old people, they dont know you!

All children start out young. Oh! You mean you being young? Dang! Back in the 40's and 50's I think many women were having children when they became a Teenager (Like 13 and 14). They felt if they had no children by the time they were 18 life was over. LOL!

I don't understand what happened- but shame on them for looking down on you because of your age- how do they know you just aren't a young looking person? It's pretty bedding!
For what it's worth- none of mine even used their crib bedding- or their crib for that matter.
The customer was rude- and there is no excuse for that. You sound like a wonderful mommy!

i dont think that it's bad to have children young. i mean not everyone is cut out for it and some people should really wait until they're older but if you're taking care of your kids then it really doesnt matter what anyone else says. oh and by the way, i think the bedding is really cute....i love the color pink lol

I don't exactly understand your question but I LOVE the PINK/BLUE Gingham theme. It is much better than an actual theme. In fact for this baby it is what I am doing, as soon as we find out what we are having I will be getting that same exact set:)

Good luck, and dont worry about what other people say =) You are doing wonderfully.
