well of corse that depens on what u want. if u want a labtop just to miss around with like get online and stuff then u should get a dell that costs about 500 or ofcouse u could get a used one on ebay for like 200. but if u are going to get on for games than i regamend a allien labtop now they are pricey about 1500$-9000$. if u are going to get one for business than i would get one with wifi installed in it. and has a high amount of memory in its hard drive for storage. also i do recomend istead of a labtop u should get a ibook they are a lot safer than a labtop labtops get a lot of bugs and virses and stuff. also before u get one u should ask whoever is selling it to u about the video card cause that is what puts graphis on the computer in the first place a good video card has better graphics than a lame one. like a geforcefx5200. but if u are just going to use it for typing and not the internet u should get a really old one like a windows 98. if u look at the right place u could get on of those for like 150$. good luck on the labtop hope this helped u sorry about the lenght and spelling. plzz contact me i want to keep in touch with u. and help u along the way. my e-mail is poolsharklb@yahoo.com

It depends on What kind you want but the lowest I know of is about $600 but you could go to these places to find out.

some are even as low as $350 @ circuit city... and anywhere else, they can get pricey!!! the priciest I know of are the Fujitsu's... they get up in the high 3,000's
other pricey laptops are high end models from sony and apple
