I needed a place to stay
my bro and friends had just rented a house
he offered me a closet for $100 a month, room for a bed and a desk, with a one foot corridor, one small lightbulb too
seemed like a bargain at the time, it left me some money for paper and labels for my herbarium specimens
they had typewriter too so I could type papers for grad school
also crocuses in the yard, and a cemetary across the street, handy for teaching my nephew his alphabet

Clothes. It is a walk-in closet. I have a dresser in there with my underwear and socks. I go in the closet to get my clothes. Sometimes I dress in there. Other times I bring the clothes out and dress in the bathroom.

A huge tangle of coat hangers all glomming on to each other like ants on a sugar cube, and I was in there to get something I had in mind before I was attacked by the coat hangers. It'll come to me in a little while....hey! quit poking, you little savage!
