"Some Day without Memories"

What is the point of a memory,
If it can be tangled and maimed,
In to a mendacious truth that influences everything
All movements, all cognitive vibrations,
They intertwine with motivation, dreams, hopes.

As I grow, aging so slowly,
Forgetfulness devours my brain
And I praise those imperfections.
For memories should not run free
Untamed and unaccounted for.

Eventually memories become futile
For they have no purpose in this event called life
He tells me to wait, wait for what we will have
If the future is all we can grasp
What is the point of memories?

It's a good poem, not great, but good. The future cannot be grasped...you can hold out your hands for it, but when you grasp it, it becomes the present. Not much else to comment on...uneven meter, no real rhyme pattern...no real depth...but a good poem still.

Your offer a philsophical point but I could not get into the flow. I guess I like poems with easy words that rhyme like Dr. Suess. Do you like green eggs and ham?

I like it, although it feels like it tries just a bit too hard at the end. the sentiment is right and overall I enjoyed the read.
