I might do it for a one hundred,000 bucks , if I would write the business to exchange those they now have . The commercial would involve me in a bar purchasing a drink for a fine hot watching girl . Then i would seem into the digicam and say ," because of Valtrex " I see no want in telling this quality woman about my herpes due to the fact i've been outbreak free for two days . I consider that may be extra actual life and as comforting as those they are using .

They are actors just like the diareah sufferers in Pepto Bismol commercials, the headache sufferers in Tylenol commercials and the erectile dysfunction sufferers on Viagra commercials..

Just like in the movies Matt Damon only plays a secret government assassin he's reall just an actor..

Why do they do it.. Exposure, money and to be working in their craft.. Producers watch television just like everyone else and a commercial that plays as often as the Valtrax commercial means the actors face is seen a lot so when they go into an audition the producer will think "Where have I seen that face before" or "I have seen other work by that person." money and working their craft are self explainatory..

Producers knowing they have seen you somewhere translates to more oppurtunity for more work..

They might have herpes, herpes is actually very common. In my college class, everyone who had ever had a coldsore was asked to put up their hand. All but two did. So you can see how common it is.

Although, both orally and genitally carry a stigma (which can even be seen in these answers)

If you look really closely at those commercials you'll see "Dramatization" in small semi-clear text somewhere on the screen. Judging by that, I'd say they 'have herpes' depending on how much money they get to say it.

They are probably just actors, like in all commercials. To find out why they do this, you would probably have to ask them, though I would assume it is to get paid.
