Having gone through the "big switch" (while in the Marines and Army) from the old reliable Jeep (M151) and P'up (M880) both Chrysler products, it is unfortunate that they took something proven reliable and easy to work on and repair and gasoline powered to two massive hunks of diesel powered junk that are too heavy to be moved easily, don't hold any additional cargo, even though they "look" bigger, and they have to be run on jet fuel since diesel gels in cold temperatures.

Obviously, some worthless-miserable-low-life in the Pentagon made the decision to buy yet another massive waste of tax payer money and pass it off on the public as "new and improved" soley on the basis of cosmetic differences and false allegations of ability.

Just like the M-16 rifle that jams unde most field conditions and can't fire a basic load of ammunition without malfunction, the B-1 bomber, the B-2 bomber and numerous other pieces of new technology, we are stuck with it.

If it "looks" new and improved and space age and scarey and modern and powerful and cosmetically better, a handful of idiots wearing stars on their collars will shove it down the throats of their men and the public regardless of the consequences to the mission and National security.

Some people don't do their homework when buying a car and this is why the saying "A sucker is born every minute" still stands true today.

The first response says something different, but if you go drive around expensive houses you find them like the stationwagons of the 60's and 70's so they aren't different they just have to have one 'cause they can and the Jones's have one too....
I agree total disregard for the environment when Suzy Fresa drives one to the store for weekly groceries. Myself I am looking forward to the Smart car coming in January
