There are many ways to help out the environment on a daily basis. When you buy appliances look for the energy savers which it usually says on the box. Also, I would say recycling things like cardboard, plastic, and glass is the easiest and best thing for the planet. Carpooling is another good way or at least when you go to purchase a new car find the hybrids which are more common nowadays. Also, making sure all appliances and lights are off before you leave you house or even a room is a great way to save energy. Even unplugging you TV, phone charger, or other electronics when not in use save more energy because you would be suprised hoe much energy still flows through those cords even if it isn't in use. And this is only the begining. There are so many ways to help out the earth just do a little searching on the web and you can find all kinds of useful tips.

P.S. turn off you computers all the way when you're done with it and never print something off of it unless necessary.

I hate to be a doomsayer, but it is almost impossible to consider any action that an individual could do, or even thousands of individuals. We've already raised the CO2 levels. the damage is done.
fixing it could only be done by measures that would be incomprehensibly unethical. the planet needs fewer humans. so maybe release an unstoppable pandemic virus. or start a nuclear war. or maybe release an oil eating bacteria into the worlds oil reserves.
all of these would fundamentally change the way the surviors live. and so no one will ever do such a thing. And so even if we had a truly global effort, the best we can do is slow it down slightly.

Begin now to reach a negative population growth. Help families all over the planet plan the number of children they have. The average number of pregnancies in Kenya is 13. The number of children born to a Kenyan woman is 9. These figures aren't much different from any other place in the Third World... all of our problems stem from too many people, and too little resources. There are now 6.5 billion people on this planet, half of those in China and India.. And both of those countries are so polluted, why would any one want to stay there?

If ever person on the planet used as much of the earth's resources as does each American, Global Warming/ pollution would be occurring even more quickly.

The key is begin to limit huge population growth in countries everywhere.

Yada yada yada, what's the big deal over global warming, come on this earth was heating long before any of us were born and NOW it's a big thing!!! People who believe in global warming must believe in anything, what just the media, Al Gore and a couple celebrities says it's a big thing and now you believe in it too. Al Gore had a couple scientist say 'yeah the earth's heating,' It's just another cultural trend by this time next year it'll be yesterdays trend. When I was a child it was this hot and maybe even hotter. Did you know Al Gore says he contributes to prevent global warming, when all the money he puts into it is going right to his companys, out one pocket and right in the other. And he can talk smack about Rush Limbaugh using prescription drugs when his son got caught speeding using prescription drugs and marijuana. Oh but he was driving a Prius, so it really doesn't matter. Gullibles!!!

...relax... the Earth has been here and doing just fine for over 4.5 Billion years... The Earth goes thru cycles all the time. The Ice ages... The Tropical ages and on and on... The Earth will continue to "cycle" into different phases NO MATTER what "we" do... it will warm up again... Continents will shift, Oceans will realign their shores... new Islands will form, old ones will sink... it's all in the cycle of the Earth... In about 3 billion years... ummm, we're going to have a problem... The Sun is going to have some "big" internal changes... you don't want to be around for that... and... "we" (as a Galaxy) are on a collision course with the Galaxy "Cains Minor" and it will collide with our Galaxy and send the whole "thing" in to a big mess... but like I said... relax... get some Ben & Jerry's ice cream... rent a video... (smoke a bowl, if that's your thing) and enjoy the Earth... The sun will come up in the morning in the Eastern sky... and the Earth will do what it will do... you won't have anything to do with it... (burn a pile of tires, cut down a bunch of trees... "pee" in the Ocean, the Earth will get over it)

recycle everything recyclable and turn down the thermostat. People turn their air conditioners up on high and then when it's winter they turn the thermostat well above the cold they paid for in the summer. that electricity has to come from some where as well as what ever they are heating their homes with. If people can't conserve at home then they need to rethink protesting what other people do.

I would say #1 is recycle. It's the easiest for the common person. #2- I think the USA should convert to Hybrid cars. Yes, it would be hard, and it would take a long time, but we need to start somewhere, sometime.
go to www.fightglobalwarming.com theres lots of information.
