Ok so I am probably just annoying others with this ranting but heres why I am taking the time to bother you:
I need to vent here!! I clicked on this question because I was curious on the real answer when I ran across a ton of irrelevant answers! I just have to get if off my chest..and since this is the first post where I have seen many responses just for a point I apologize but it had to be your question I vented on. People with your tasteless answers for a point, I hate to burst your bubble but this is not a popularity game where the most points wins. You don't get some huge prize in the end, nor will Yahoo Answers hire you for a desk job to degrade random people. You won't even earn the respect of others once you do get the gold bar under your picture stating you are a 'Top Contributor' because all we have to do is go back on your list of previously answered questions and see how lame, and rude you are to people. So please stop wasting the time of us who are on yahoo answers for a reason, and not to read all your useless garbage.
I apologize to anyone that is bothered by my reply, I just can't stand ignorant people like the same three I have seen on the last few post with their rude comments.

Could be you asked a question and got a best answer + 2 thumbs up at the same time or as someone else mentioned, 7 thumbs up for one or more best answers.

That couldv'e meant alot of things but it's best to go to your home page on Yahoo! Answers and check the Activity Details for a sum or an idea of why you got the points. That's what I do everytime and it's very convenient...

You answered three 2 point questions and then logged off? You got a point for visiting when you logged back on. Or, you voted for six answers and then got a point for visiting? I don't know. That is fairly unusual.
