just put it into the form y=mx+b. m will be the slope and b willbe the intercept. so:
y=(2/3)x+7

so slope is 2/3
and intercept is 7

-2x+3y=21
implies

y = (2/3)x + 7

compare with y = mx +c

slope = m = 2/3
y-intercept = c = 7

OK. I'll do it step by step. You need to put it in y= mx + b.
1. -2x + 3y = 21
2. 3y= 21 + 2x 1st you need to add 2x to both sides.
3. y= 7 + x Then divide by 3.
4. y- intercept: 7 b= y- intercept. In this case b is 7.
5. slope: 1 m= slope. In this case its 1.

And Tada your answer.

-2x + 3y = 21

Transpose 2x

- 2x + 3y + 2x = 2x + 21

3y = 2x + 21

Diivide both sides of the equation by 3

3y / 3 = 2x / 3 + 21 / 3

y = 2/3x + 7

- - - - - --

slope is 2/3
