she drives a nissan micra, and i just find it too embarrassing to go out with someone who drives a grannies car
but how do i explain this to her without her getting angry?

1 - Park her micra outside the local scrap yard, leaving the key in the ignition, and a note in the windscreen explaining your situation. They won't be able to resist.
2 - When she tells you her car has disappeared, you can be there to comfort her and give her a hug (maybe more?)
3 - Offer to help her find a new car, find a golf gti, drop some strong hints
4 - If she needs more convincing, take her for a test drive, take a picnic, and enjoy the 'ride'!
5 - You get the girl, and a great second car!!

Girl driving a Nissan Micra = a socially acceptable car.
A dude driving a VW = extremely lame.
You're driving a 16 year old girl's dream car, just throw in some avril lavigne and matching lipstick. VWs suck, get a real car before you start worrying about your gf's.

I've seen some superficial reasons not to date someone but this one takes the cake. Isn't a VW considered a chick car? But no matter--good luck on your search for the perfect woman.

dont tell her the truth. this is a pretty pathetic reason to dump somebody. you cant really feel for her if your letting this get in the way of your relationship.
OR you could just drive around in your car all the time.
OR buy her one.
