Our whole family loves Medieval Times in Buena Park. The Pirate Show next door to Medieval Times is really not very good. Also, another fun dinner/show is the merlin show. That's in Orange (http://www.merlinshow.com). Hornblower has really nice dinner cruises. Also, you can have dinner on a train in Fillmore (www.fwry.com).

Enjoy!

There is a place called Shutters Hotel on the Beach, there is a cafe restaurant in the hotel. It's located in Santa Monica.

It looks out onto the beach and after dinner, you can literally walk out to the bike path/beach and walk over to the Santa Monica pier or on the sand to the water to watch the sunset.

It's more affordable than the full restaurant upstairs, but it still has the beach view and access to a nice walk after dinner. Plus, there are a couple side streets you can try for free meter parking before settling on valet.

I've been to the Queen Mary for dinner. It's really nice. The ship is getting a little rundown, but it is a very nice nostalgic place for a meal and there is the Aquarium of the Pacific nearby. If you do go for this, consider a Priceline hotel in Long Beach and make it a weekend. Dinner at the Queen Mary, hotel (on Priceline you can usually get a hotel right by the convention center -close to QM and Aquarium/wharf- 3-4 stars for cheap ~80-100/night) and then go to the Aquarium in the morning.

Try the Hobbit in Orange. They have one seating a night. Very good food and wines. It is expensive but very romantic and exclusive. A true hideout place that is difficult to get into but worth it Worth It WORTH IT!
