If you hide it they'll bring the police. You can have charges brought against you.

Keep the car in the garage. They can't break into the garage to get the car. Just don't drive it anywhere. Once you have the money, it may still be too late to do any good. If you have defaulted on the loan, the finance company has the right to ask for the total amount due on the loan. My guess is that they will. If you are with a reputable company, they will work with you instead of trying to rip you off. Get the car refinanced and pay the loan company off. This time go through a bank. You didn't mention just how late you are with the payment. So who knows. good luck.

Park it somewhere where your not expected too, Away from your house, your school, your job, you family. LOCK in a Garage is the best place. If the hook up to it, get in the car, they can't take it, honk the horn raise a fuss, Make them call the police. The police will make them drop the car and leave
and they know this, if they don't call, you call
you don't have to give the car up until you see a court order
If the car is 4 wheels on the truck, or being pulled away by a stinger, it's gone

Probably not. They don't generally get to that point until you have ignored them and are at least 90 days behind, unless it's a buy here pay here lot. Get a short term loan from a friend or relative and get it caught up, or say "goodbye" to the car. Don't leave anything you can't live without in the car, because you probably won't get it back when they take it.

well other than the obvious hide it...talk to them? make a partial payment? explain the situation?
BUT if you are scared of a repossetion than i am pretty sure you are more than 3 months behind...or you bought from a shady buy here-die here lot. if thats the case kiss it bye. those people can be ruthless.

Dude!
They don't repossess cars on the first late payment. Pay your bills on time and you can sleep easier at night.

I would make the payment or hide it. You could also take it to the desert and burn it and collect the insurance money.

go to a check in to cash , and have them give you the loan early as you show them your earnings. and that should help you out with cash on the spot for your need.
