Will do you like best?

I choose DeWALT.

I choose Dewalt too unless I just need a cheap tool quickly and am not too worried about damaging it or how long it might survive. The quality of the Craftsman power tools varies by who they choose to make them. Sometimes it's good, but often it's marginal or it looks good, but then turns out to be cheap material and goes bad quickly.

I am a bit more partial to Milwaukee and Porter-Cable, but now that Porter-Cable and Delta are together I am not sure if the quality of Porter is going to be as good as it used to be. Not that Delta is necessarily bad, but just not at the top of my list.

Most Craftsman are made by quality manufacturers.
Quite possibly, Dewalt could make some of Craftsman's products.

Back when Dewalt was Rockwell, ----now that was quality.
I still have a Rockwell saw.
Anyway, if you are investing in a job saw that you're going to use, and use, and use, go with Milwaukee.

Me, I run a plumbing repair truck, and either the Craftsman or Dewalt would be good. No sense me investing in a Milwaukee if it's not used everyday. Good saws but high priced.

If it's something you are going to use everyday in your job I'd choose Dewalt. For household handyman stuff Craftsman will work just fine. Dewalt is a lot more expensive but it's also better quality. I have a Dewalt 9.6 volt cordless drill about 15 years old. I also have a 18 volt Craftsman cordless drill less than a year old. The Dewalt puts the Craftsman to shame. It has twice the torque of the Craftsman.

I have used many different power tools, not just my own but familly and friends. The best power tools I have used have been made by DeWalt. They are the only power tools I own, aside from my worm drive made by Skil Saw, but only because I was unable to find one made by DeWalt. They are very high quality, and they have taken a beating and still work even after multiple accidental drops. Craftsman power tools are not bad, but these days they do not seem to be near the quality they were 20-30+ years ago. If you use your power tools daily I would go with DeWalt. The premium you pay is well worth it. For a regular homeowner that uses their power tools on occasion Craftsman will do just fine.

It really depends on the tool. Craftsman is good for hand tools like wrenches, drivers, and the such. As far as power or cordless tools go, Dewalt wins hands down. Most of my power tools are Dewalts. Craftsman might be OK if you use the cordless driver once a month. But is you use them on a daily basis, Crapsman wouldn't hold a candle to most other major brands. Crapsman is made by (same as) Black and Decker, which is still junk.

I like and prefer a lot of Craftsman tools, however I do know that most of Dewalt tools are made overseas for the big box stores. Sears is much easier to deal with for problems, and still no good reason to give the big boxes that business anyway.

All of my tools are De Walt but, I have bench tools, Band saws, lathes, and drill presses that are Craftsman simply because Sears is almost across the street and I can go in there for parts and material, blades, etc.

Unless you go to off brands like "Michigan tools" this kind of crap, you'll get a decent deal.
Keep in mind, you want the dealer close enough to be able to go and see them when you need them. Not on the Internet or the phone and wait for days for an answer.
