a Kiss can betray me, i dunno about the hug
=))))))))))))))))))

seriously i think a kiss is intimite. it's a symbol of respect(for parents and elderly) or an expression of affection(for lovers and friends)
Generally, a hug often means consolation(that you share someone's pain), show appreciation(to welcome a new friend, etc) and mostly, a form of affirmation(that you missed, that you cared, that you are still around no matter what)

i can always blow you a kiss wherever you are, anytime i like
but one big hug will always leave a warm embrace within your heart..

I believe that a hug and a kiss used right after the other will console someone the best. A long hug will make the other person feel protected and out of danger. Most people during weddings and funerals will give hugs because its more passinate and there is more body contact which makes it very sensual . And kisses bring warm sensations of love into a person. I believe kissing is used more for showing a person love and happiness, not much consolement. Hugs are not so eratic so i think they consoles more, but because it's an opinion others might think different.

I enjoyed sharing my opinion.

For consolation, definitely a hug. A warm, sincere embrace. A kiss could never express consolation. A person can feel all encompassing comfort from a "hug." A kiss on the lips is far too intimate; a light kiss on the cheek is but a fleeting gesture.

I like Moon's, too!

A hug can console, a kiss might do a bit more than that.

A big hug definitely. A kiss could be interpreted as anything from platonic to sexual to harrassment. But a hug in times of grief would mean more than a kiss. It involves more emotion than a kiss does, it overcomes inhibitions and reservations. I'd rather have one hug than a million kisses.

A kiss can be either light and friendly or deep and passionate, but only a hug can envelope one's whole being in the warmth and consolation of another.

Definitely a hug.

Peace

A hug

If it's a friend, I would want a long hug. If it's, say, my boyfriend, I would want a hug and maybe like a kiss on the forehead.

A hug. It is the more friendly of the two, and you can get so many feelings across just by embracing someone. Hugs always cheer me up.

A hug - you are able to kiss somebody and not mean it (greeting, see you later, an basic p.c..), yet an entire-on hug is extra significant and extra heavily primary by employing the two genders inspite of custom or sexual orientation.
