Family of 3; two adults who very very rarely cook (we eat out or order in mostly)... so we generate about 3-4 large garbage bags a week...

As a single person and cooking all my meals at home I turn out one half a kitchen-bag a week.
I also recycle a grocery bag a week of glass, plastic, and aluminum a week, and a bag of paper every other week.

Interesting question...
I live alone & have 3 trash cans, one in the kitchen, one by my computer desk, & one in the bathroom. I typically take all 3 of them out @ the same time, usually every week & a half or so.

With three adults in our house, two working one not...Ummm about 3 standard kitchen rubbish bin bags a week.

we have 2 adults and 2 kids... we go through about 1-2
13 gallon kitchen garbage bags per day!!!
