I wouldn't call it a mansion, but it is a good size house. But it's not the size of the house that matters but what goes on inside that makes the house a home.

It's probably the kind of house I call a mini-mansion. I have a friend who just bought a mini-mansion with 5 bedrooms each with it's own full bathroom. 3 living areas, a play room the size of my entire house, a dining room, large Kitchen, a pool house, pool, and 3 car garage. The kids and I were invited to go swimming last week at her new house and it was awesome. Her property is the size of a city block and I was feeling a small pang of envy. Anyhow, I'm happy for her.

It depends........ If the land area of that 7 bedroom house is big, well, I can call it as a mansion........ Well, if a small house is divided into 8-9 rooms with 7 bedrooms, you cannot call it a mansion, since it is small......... But according to your follow up question, the place has 2 or more garages, well, there is a big possibility that the place is a mansion..................................

If you check the defintion, a mansion is defined as a house. So, in that respect, yes. When most people think of a mansion they think of an impossibly large house ( i.e., square footage ) so it isn't just the number of rooms, but the sheer size of the dwelling that would make it a mansion to most people. However, it's all relative. If you live in a cardboard box in the streets of Calcutta, a travel trailer would be considered a mansion.
