I saw that someone had been scammed about a year ago. These people have been calling me repeatedly this week & I refuse to give them any info. The telephone number he gave was different from the one reported in the other instance. They have such an accent if is very difficult to understand them. They hung up when we told them we would call social security, medicare, the attorney general and the FCC.

Go to a sports equipment store or the sports section of a store like Target or Walmart. Buy a small whistle like the ones used by referees. When you get the next call from these folks, warn them about calling you. Then blow the whistle. You won't hear from them again. It also takes care of obscene phone calls.

Look on the back of your phone bill. There should be
a phone number to call to
be put on the "Do Not Call"
federal list. It has really worked for me.
But, if it is an overseas call,
Just begin speaking in a phony language--or act like
a mental case, they will give
up.

We seniors are often easy marks for the unscrupulous. I like to play with them. I press the #2 pad on the phone and hold it down until they hang up. I place a long order and when they want billing information I tell them I will ask my conservator and have him call them back. I ask them over for a cup of coffee and if they won't come visit I won't buy. I tell them I have to go because the kitchen is on fire and I have to get water out of the toilet to put it out. It can be a really fun thing if you are creative.

Call the police. Report the harassing phone calls to them. This is against the law---use it against them!
