I have the chip type: Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset

I want to buy the game Call of duty and I'm not sure if it is compatible. I've visited some websites: http://callofduty.filefront.com/info/Requirements
http://www.ultimate-gamer.com/cod/cod.htm
but I cant get an answer. Mind you I'm not that good with computers, but I'd like to think I'm okay, but does anyone know if my computer will work for the game?

ps... My laptop meets the other system requirement but I'm very unsure about: chipset, sound card, video card... I don't know much about those 3 and I don't know If they are compatible...can anyone help me out..?

The type of Chipsets is never an issue. So you don't have to worry about it at all.
On the contrary, some games has strict requirements on the type of 3D Graphic accellerator card or Video card (NVidia, Intel , ATI Mobile Radeon) . It is highly recommended to check this.
On the video card, things like video memory, supportability for DirectX8/9/10, 3D accelleration capability and others are typically mentioned.

If your PC uses an integrated graphics without 3D Accelleration or low Video RAM or a non-supported brand that is required by the Game maker, then, most likely, you will not be able to play the most graphic intensive games.

Games also comes with minimum requirements:
1. RAM - 2G would be best
2. Minimum Harddrive space/size GBytes
3. Operating system - winXP
4. DirectX9 support

The chipsets are only there to provide the Computer:
1. Memory controller MCH - (interface to the Physical memory RAM)
2. IO (input output) e.g. SATA, ATA, Expanded bus, PCI, PCI-E, AGP, HID (Human interface device) and others
3. Interrupt controller
4. FSB interface (Interface between the MCH and the CPU, the processor)
5. Basic soundcard - this never is an issue, all PCs comes with at least 16bits soundcard.
6. Processor type

As for the game, Call of duty the requirement are as shown below, so do check it up with your laptop specification (Going to Controlpanel->System->Advance->Device Hardware)
3D hardware accelerator card required - 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible 32MB hardware T&L-capable video card and the latest drivers*
English version of Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
Pentium III 800MHz or Athlon 800MHz processor or higher
128MB RAM (256MB Recommended)
8x speed CD-ROM drive (1200KB/sec sustained transfer rate) and latest drivers
1150MB of uncompressed free hard disk space (plus 400MB for Windows 98/ME swap file, 600MB for Windows 2000/XP swap file)
100% DirectX 9.0c compatible 16-bit sound card and latest drivers
100% Windows 98/ME/2000/XP compatible mouse, keyboard and latest drivers
